Ride your camel through the Wahiba Sands to reach our authentic Bedoiun Camp.
Experience what it was like to live as a Bedouin in the desert in a time gone by! You will cross the Wahiba Sands by camel to reach an authentic camp and get to sleep in Bedouin tents, or if you want, sleep under the stars and eat on the floor, deep within the desert. You will also get the pleasure of visiting Wadi Bani Khalid – famed for its natural beauty – where you can swim in one of the many refreshing pools.
There is no difficulty level, fitness or age requirement for this trip.
Duration: 8 hours
Length: 30 km
An authentic camel trek where you ride for a full day to reach a non-touristic destination to get the full Lawrence of Arabia effect.
We will start at the Al Areesh Camp- which is already deep into the dunes of the Wahiba Sands in Oman. We will be briefed on how to ride safely and comfortably for the day by our Camel “Cowboys” and then embark on our journey to the Bedouin Camp. This is no tourist spot, its the real deal. We will sleep in three big tents, just as the Bedoiuns did, eat on the floor, and if you want, under the stars, deep in the Wahiba Sands.
