Morroco’s Atlas Mountains offer you a great opportunity for a short, scenic, and challenging trek with the chance to get your crampons on for the first time. You won’t go to extreme high altitude, so with proper acclimatization, you should not experience problem as a result of the altitude. If you are fit and have some trekking experience in Oman or UAE, this is a great first-time altitude experience.
Moderate: Up steep hills and down exposed ledges, with bouldering and some climbing.

Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech, and transfer to Hotel Riad. Overnight
Day 2: Marrakech – Aguersioual – Tizi Oudid Pass – Tizi Oussem village – Azib Tamsoult. 1h15 drive plus 5 hours walk.
Drive to the atlas mountains where you will meet our team at Aguerzioual which is the starting point of your trek. You will be walking towards Tizi Oudid pass via some berber villages. Once you reach the pass, you will have great views over Imlil valley & Azzaden valley. Walk downhill to the place where you will have linch before continuing to Azib Tamsoult passing via Tizi oussem village. Overnight at Azib Tamsoult at a nice refuge.
Day 3: Azib Tamsoult – Aguelzim Pass – Toubkal Refuge
After breakfast, we set out eastwards on a moderately difficult hike up winding mule tracks to the Tizi Aguelzim (3,550m), thence a further 3 hours south-east to the Toubkal Refuge which marks the spring snowline at 3,207m, where we shall have our dinner in a Toubkal refuge. Overnight at the refuge or tents. Approx. 6 hours
Day 4: Refuge – Toubkal summit – Refuge – Imlil
Early in the morning we make our attempt on the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Our route takes us up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. The walking is relatively straight forward, but the scree and the altitude will make the going quite difficult in parts. When you reach the summit you will see that the vistas across the surrounding landscape are quite breathtaking. We will retrace our steps when we return down the mountain to the refuge where we will have lunch before we walk downhill to Imlil village where we will spend the night at a nice guesthouse. 8 to 9 hours walk.
Day 5: Imlil – Marrakech
After breakfast, transfer back to Marrakech. Overnight at a nice Hotel Riad.
Day 6: Transfer to the airport
