Option 1: Fly to Muscat, rent a car (or chip in with other travelers) and drive to Jabal Akdar. Alternatively, we can help arrange transport to Jebal Akhdar from the Muscat airport, but the cost is the responsibility of the traveler.
Option 2: Drive/arrange carpool to Jebal Akhdar. You will need a 4wd for the last portion of the drive. If you don’t have a 4wd, the Stone House will pick you up at the bottom of the hill for a fee.
All guest will spend 2 nights at the Stone House on Jabal Akdar. Hikes will be intermediate level, 6 hours trek on Friday, and 4 hours on Saturday. The weather is so comfortable here at 2000m bring a sweatshirt!
After breakfast, we will head down to do some exploring on a trail on this incredibly beautiful mountain as we find some pools, caves, and cliffs.
We will take a circular route to explore abandoned villages for around 6 hours. This will be hilly, but not difficult terrain. On this two day trekking adventure in the cooler temps of Jabal Akdar, you will explore Oman’s mountains, abandoned villages, admire alpine flora and blooming pomegranate trees on our way across wadis, dams and plateaus.
Enjoy a cool evening in the wild, admire some of the most beautiful skies and cosy up in our sleeping bag for the night. Yes, the nights are still chilly up on Jabal Akhdar. Look out for lemons, papayas and even rare walnut trees on the second day of our trek.
It will be warm during the day and slightly chilly in the night. These are not challenging walks. They are meant to be a chance to explore the scenery and get a great day's hike in.
Easier walk around 4 hours. You will be done trekking by noon. Have lunch and head back to Muscat if you are flying, or start the journey back to UAE.

Omani Tourist Visa can be obtained online or issued upon arrival at the boarder. Please check https://evisa.rop.gov.om/# for the latest prices and regulations. Visa’s are not included in the tour price.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their passport is up-to-date. Countries can and will deny travelers entry if a passport has less than six months before it expires. This is the clients responsibility.
