Poon Hill Flexi Trek: 5 or 9 Day National Day

Depending on how many holidays you have, or how many public holidays we are granted, you can set your itinerary. You can even determine this at the last minute as long as you sign up and book flights with a flexible return.

This is all trekking holiday as per usual with UAE Trekkers, we spend the minimum time sight seeing in order to get to the mountains. We will also have 1 day of activities in Pokhara on the extended version. You are absolutely free to go at your own pace as we will have 3 leaders with us to accommodate any level trekker. We will be whisked to Pokhara first thing Friday morning, with no time at all in Kathmandu. If you need trekking gear, you can order in advance and sizes and gear will be brought to the hotel for you on Thursday night. We will also do an extended itinerary for those that take a few days leave and want to do a longer day trek and return on Friday. So, do a 3 day trek or a 6 day trek.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Thursday 1: Arrive to Kathmandu, over night.

Friday Day 2: Fly to Pokhara. Drive to Nayapul (1.5 hours) and trek! 4 hours. It's not difficult trails, they are not too steep yet. You can go as slow as you need but you do need to be fit!
Difficulty: Easy to moderate.
Elevation reached: 1540m.
Terrain: Gentle inclines, well defined paths, riverbank trails.
Enjoy the views of the towering, snow-capped Annapurna range,

Saturday Day 3: Ghorepani.
Hours walking: 6.5.
Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.
Elevation reached: 2810m
Terrain: Stone staircase, steep inclines.

Sunday Day 4: Poon Hill and Tadhapani.
Hours of walking: 6.
Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.
Elevation reached: 3210m at Poon Hill and 2700 at Tadhapani.
Terrain: Steep, hilly descents and jungle paths.
Views on offer: Panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
Highlights: Reaching the top of Poon Hill for amazing, panoramic views.
What’s to see: The village of Durali and lots of langur monkeys.
Here is where we split: if you need to go back, you will leave in the morning and go back down to Pokhara. If you want to do 2 more days, carry on!

Monday Day 5: Trek to Gandruk
Hours of walking: 5.

Tuesday Day 6: Trek down to Nyapur and short hour drive to Pokhara.
Hours of walking: 5.
Difficulty: Moderate. You will only have gentle descents, on good trails. and riverbank.

Wednesday Day 7 : Day in Pokhara for Activities
Pokhara is the best place to experience parasailing. Whitewater rafting is also popular as is canyoning.

Day 8 Thursday: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 9 Friday: Return to Dubai.
Transfer to airport according to flight departure time.
