Summit snow-capped Mount Ararat, the legendary resting place of Noah’s Ark!


Day 1:
Fly through Istanbul to Agri, where we will transfer to Dougybyzat. This is the most complicated part of the trip as the trek begins in a remote part of Eastern Turkey. Overnight in a 3-star hotel and begin acclimatizing at 1800m.

Mount Ararat 4-Day

This is a fast ascent with long days, but doable at a slow pace.

Day 2:

After breakfast a van will take us to the trailhead at Eli Village (2200m). Our backpacks will be loaded onto pack animals and we will begin trekking to Yesil Yayala base camp (Camp 1) at 3200m; approximately 3 hours. Overnight at Camp 1, all meals included.

Day 3:

Today is about acclimatizing. We will trek up to 4000m, return and overnight at Camp 1. All meals included.

Day 4:

After breakfast, we begin our trek up to Mt Ararat second camp (4200m) where we will overnight and prepare for summit day. All meals included.

Day 5:

Summit Day! We will start our accent around 1-2 am on our 5-7 hour hike to the summit. On our decent, we will stop for a warm meal at Camp 2 before returning to Eli Village where the van will be waiting to take us to our hotel. A well deserved hot shower and hot meal await us! Overnight stay at hotel, all meals included.

Day 6

A lie-in morning before heading to the airport and flying back to Dubai.

Flights, visa and personal hiking gear

Turkish Tourist Visa can be obtained online or issued upon arrival at the airport. Please check their website for the latest prices and regulations. Visa’s are not included in the tour price.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their passport is up-to-date. Countries can and will deny travelers entry if a passport has less than six months before it expires. This is the clients responsibility.

We highly recommend buying travel insurance to cover any unexpected events. We’ve been using World Nomad ( for years, although you are welcome to use a different company. This trip is non-refundable 60 days prior to arrival.
