Overview and Activities
The focus of our trip revolves around several issues:
1) Helping with an on going conservation project to help keep track of the
gorillas in Rwanda and Uganda
2) Strong teamwork ethic by students to achieve a shared goal from a
3) Working with villagers in the Nkuringo village on several projects that
students can pre-select – options shown in appendix.
This trip engages students in several learning, physical and service opportunities during our 8 days in Africa.
Finally, we will spend 2 days in Nkuringo village, assisting the local people in several important service projects.
Day One – Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda
Day Two – Volcano or Diane Fossey Memorial
Day Three – Golden Monkey Tracking, Transfer to Uganda
Day Four – Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund and Ranger Station, Canoe Afternoon
Day Five – Forest Walk and Community Service Day 1
Day Six – Community Service Day 2
Day Seven – Gorilla Tracking Experience
Day Eight – Transfer to Kigali, sightseeing and home
This Trip is best for:

Health and Safety
Health and sanitary conditions will vary depending on location.
All of our guides are first aid trained. We have with us at all times a full and wellequipped medical kit.
