4-Day Oman: Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Bani Kaled, Ras al Hadd, and extreme canyoning option


This is a family friendly trip, but includes the option for the Wadi Tiwi extreme canyoning for those in the group that are fit, can swim and have canyoned before.

ITINERARY

THURSDAY: Arrive in Oman

  • How to Get there:  Fly/drive and meet in Muscat (visas are not included in itinerary)

  • Recommended Hotel: City Hotel, Muscat (hotel Thursday ngt and Friday breakfast not included in the itinerary)

FRIDAY: Wadi Shabb trekking, light canyoning, swimming

We meet at the designated location City Hotel on Friday at 7am.  Group transport is provided from Muscat. All ages can enjoy this wadi where we will spend the day trekking to and swimming into the keyhole cave. We will settle down for the evening on Friday in a local house with a pool in the Bimmah area.  Dinner is catered and included.

SATURDAY: Wadi Tiwi - Option 1: Hiking or Option 2: Extreme canyoning

Option 1: Mini Adventure

You’ll wake up at 7 am, and and enjoy a 3 hour hike (not challenging but will give you a good workout!) We will walk through the palm tree filled village and down to the waterfall where we will picnic and eat our packed lunch.  We will return to the residence for the afternoon and enjoy the pool.

Option 2:  Extreme canyoning

For those who are ready for a max-adventure, you will have to wake up at 6 am and head to the top of the plateuau where we will do a 7 hour canyoning experience through abseils, waterffalls, canyons and lots of swimming. You will need to be fit for this adventure!

In the evening we will all get back together for dinner at the house and overnight.

SUNDAY: Ral Al Hadd

We will drive to the Ras al Hadd for a sea adventure day - snorkeling, surfing and turtle and dolphin watching on the best beach in Oman. A small boat will be there to take us out to a secluded area.

Overnight in Ras al Hadd hotel on twin sharing basis.

MONDAY:  8 am; Drive to Wadi Bani Khaled

This morning we will leave our hotel at 8am and reach Wadi Bani Khaled around 11am for a 3 hour adventure thorugh the Wadi Bani Khaled.  By 3pm we will head to the airport or start the drive back to UAE.

COST:   2200 DH

INCLUDES:

  • Group transport from Muscat and back.

  • 3 nights hotel (Fr/Sa/Su) on sharing basis (not twin, as per available)

  • Meals and snacks and water

  • Transport to Oman

HOW TO PAY:

In order to cut down on cost and save you money, we prefer big trip pay by bank deposit at a RAK Bank ATM or by an online bank transfer. The important this is you keep your receipt and communicate with us once the payment is made (uaetrekkers@gmail.com). This is how it works:

OPTION 1: BANK DEPOSIT by CASH at the ATM

  • Go to any RAK Bank ATM machine and touch the screen. It will give you a deposit options.

  • Type in the account number (0042319472001) and deposit the correct amount.

  • Save your receipt

  • Send an email message to uaetrekkers@gmail.com with your full name, the name and date of your trip, and a picture of the receipt.

  • We will send you a verification notice.

 You don’t need your ATM card and you don’t need any personal information.

OPTION 2: ONLINE BANK TRANSFER with IBAN

You will need to set up UAE Trekkers as a beneficiary before you will be able to transfer money. Its pretty easy and every bank requires different information.  If you are a RAK bank customer, you only need the account number. This option is very fast.

CLIENT’S RESPONSIBLITY:

Omani Tourist Visa can be obtained online or issued upon arrival at the boarder. Please check https://evisa.rop.gov.om/# for the latest prices and regulations. Visa’s are not included in the tour price.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their passport is up-to-date. Countries can and will deny travelers entry if a passport has less than six months before it expires. This is the clients responsibility.

We highly recommend buying travel insurance to cover any unexpected events.  We’ve been using World Nomad (https://www.worldnomads.com/) for years, although you are welcome to use a different company. This trip is non-refundable 30 days prior to arrival.
