Using the night flights on Rwanda Air, we can make a 4 day experience and still make it back to work on Tuesday! We have been doing the same itinerary for many years, and we would like to use the opportunity to try some new activities on a smaller group. If you sign up, you'll get the savings/ benefit of being in the 'focus group'. The National day trip is normally very large so we would like to offer the new itinerary for that trip. The National day trek will not be offered at the discounted rate!
We also need to set up a new volunteer experience in a different village than we have visited in the past. You'll be a part of helping to establish a new connections that we will use for years to come. We will visit 2 schools in 2 different villages and we will have to choose which volunteer activities best fit each place. We have many activities that we can offer but it takes a visit to figure out which will be the most helpful for the community (for example, a water tank, a filter, supplies for the school? )
In order to get the discounted rate, you won't have any responsibilities but you will be requested to give us your honest feedback on the activities, the hotels, the drivers, and the food. You will need to complete a detailed survey upon your return.
This trip has no minimum participants, so even 1 person signing up with be going with the trip leader from UAE.

Arrival to Kigali:
Day 1: Culture Day - Explore Rwanda.
Traditional Activities: Visit the Genocide Museum, the Nayamata church, and breakfast at Milles Collines.
New Activities: lunch destination and minibike tour of Musanze. We would also like to visit a school in Rwanda. Drive to Musanze for the evening. We will be met by traditional dancers just before sunset. We'll stay in an untested new hotel the Da Vinci.
Day 2: Volcanoes National Park Activity Options: Climb the Volcano or Track the Golden Monkeys Gorilla Tracking. If you're up for a challenge you can climb the Bisoke Volcano a 6 hours climb up a mountain. In the dry season, this will be infinitely easier! Alternatively you can take the easy option and track the golden monkeys. The afternoon will visit the Heritage Village (new activity that must be tried out)
Day 3: Early wake up, cross the border and canoe across Lake Mutanda on our way up to the Bwindi Lodge. The normal activity is a morning canoe ride but we would like to try to do a hike in the Mgahinga with a Bawtwa tribe. We have not done this before. We will stay in the Bwindi Gorilla Lodge. (we have stayed here, and everyone loved it)
Day 4: Sunday: After a hearty breakfast, we will meet our Gorilla Tracking guide by 7:30am. We will visit a gorilla family that we have not visited before, preferably in the Mgahinga. The hike can be steep and the forest thick but your experienced guides and trackers will clear the path and lead you to one of the fantastic Gorilla families. Spend an hour watching these magnificent animals feeding and playing in their natural habitat.
We'll return to the hotel, change and hit the road back to Kigali.
Drive 2 hours for a evening entertainment before night flight back to Dubai. You'll land at 8 am in Dubai, so you can be to work, weary but at work!
